Babu Owino is going where Kenyan presidents have been scared to go: LAND 😳 The Embakasi East MP wants the Kirima family to show proof that they own 1,000 acres in Nairobi (Njiru): copies of IDs, sale agreements, proof of payment, witnesses in court. More than 10,000 families live on that land, and many of them paid for it already. We love the energy... but Babu, do you really want to go here? 🫣

We go back to the Ndung'u Land Report: Kibaki's promise to recover grabbed public land, a commission in 2003, a report that found over 200,000 illegal titles (most of them handed out around the 1992, 1997 and 2002 elections), names like the Kenyattas and the Mois, and... almost nothing done about it.
