We Left the USA to Kenya , You can Live Well in Kenya for just $450 a Month

#usa
A Black American couple left Virginia and moved more than 7,000 miles away to build a new life in Nairobi, Kenya. Today, they pay $1,800 per month for a luxury three-bedroom home featuring en-suite bathrooms, a swimming pool, gym, sauna, movie theater, private parking and 24-hour security—amenities they say would cost significantly more in the United States.

But their relocation came with a major setback. After leaving their U.S. business in the hands of others, the company—which had grown from approximately $300,000 to nearly $1 million in annual revenue—collapsed within five months.

In this episode, Veronica and Okino Oakley share the truth about relocating from America to Kenya, raising their children abroad, housing and utility costs in Nairobi, cultural differences and rebuilding their businesses after a devastating financial loss. They also explain how newcomers can find homes for around $450 per month—and why proper research is essential to avoid being overcharged.

Would you leave everything behind to start again in Kenya?
