Before YouTube, I spent four years living in Nigeria and flying a Gulfstream III all over Africa for a wealthy businessman.

In this episode, I tell some of my favorite stories from that time — living in Maiduguri and Abuja, dealing with police bribes, flying across Africa, mechanical problems in the middle of nowhere, bird strikes, armed guards, and some very unusual passengers and destinations.

I also tell the story of flying the Prime Minister of Somalia to Libya and unexpectedly finding Muammar Gaddafi waiting for us on the ramp.

Iwo Jima became one of the most famous battlefields in American history. On February 23rd, 1945, Marines raised the American flag on top of Mount Suribachi, and the photograph of that moment became one of the most famous pictures ever taken. More than eighty years later, almost no one is allowed to set foot on the island. It's a Japanese military base, it goes by a different name, and American civilians can land there just one day a year. So why can't you visit Iwo Jima? And what is still out there today?

In this video, we follow the story of Iwo Jima: from the black sand beaches where nearly 7,000 Americans died and the flag raising on Mount Suribachi, to the day America handed the island back to Japan, the families who were never allowed to go home, the thousands of soldiers who are still missing under the ground, the island that is rising so fast that the ships the Navy sank there in 1945 are coming back out of the sea, and the one day each year when the last veterans come back.

We left a GIANT pile of chicken legs deep in the woods and set up a trail camera to see what wild animals would come visit it. With a huge pile of raw chicken sitting on the forest floor, we had no idea what would show up, who would be brave enough to take some, or how quickly it would disappear...
Our trail camera watched day and night as wildlife discovered The Chicken Pile and kept coming back to investigate. From deer, raccoons, Virginia opossums, skunks, foxes, coyotes, bobcats, fishers, and even a bear, the camera captured some incredible and completely unexpected wildlife moments.
Some animals only stopped to sniff, while others grabbed a piece and disappeared back into the woods. A few visitors even returned again and again for more!

The battle over development projects in Trans Nzoia County between President William Ruto and Governor George Natembeya escalated on Saturday, after the county boss dismissed the launch of the newly constructed Masinde Muliro Market in Kitale by the Head of State. Natembeya has vowed to storm the market, relaunch it and allocate stalls to traders who had previously been assigned spaces. Accusing President Ruto of taking credit for county projects during his visit to the region, Governor Natembeya said he would not be intimidated by threats to his security and dared police to arrest him when he visits the market and the hospital under construction on Monday.

A few hours after our interview with Geoffrey Mosiria went out, Governor Sakaja's office put out a "reshuffle", and Mosiria's docket went to someone else 😳 In the interview he alleged cartels at City Hall, a "Shakahola" office and a Babu Owino bribe. Now he has hit back with a letter: "Thank you my boss for making my sacking official."
