A helicopter has crashed at the Kericho Golf Club in Kericho County amid heavy rains in the area.

According to Kericho County Police Commander Kivindu Kilonzo, no fatalities have been reported, although several occupants sustained injuries.

Citizen TV has established that Environment Principal Secretary Festus Ng’eno was among those on board the helicopter.

Witnesses say the chopper had barely gained altitude after takeoff when it suddenly lost height and crashed.

The injured were quickly pulled from the wreckage and rushed to South Rift Hospital for treatment.
